Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

The ongoing development of personal and professional skills is known as Continuing Professional Development (CPD). CPD can take the form of a variety of different activities at all levels of the profession. Attending conferences, meetings and training sessions as well as reading and writing reports all contribute to CPD in the green space sector. IPGS recognises that if the sector is to continue to develop, the skills and knowledge of those who work within it must be regularly recorded. GreenSKILL is a unique online database dedicated to improving skills and training within the green space sector.

The system enables individuals to record their skills, qualifications and continuing professional development (CPD), allowing employers to manage the skill base of their workforce.
